We're excited to learn from the following three brothers:

Bryan Lifshitz '96

Co-Founder and Owner,
Alamari Media LLC

Bryan has always been about drawing attention to himself. In 1995, as a freshman at the UofA, Bryan attended Greek rush to see what it was all about. He walked into Kappa Sigma with amazement, a new facility, right in the center of campus but something stuck out… the men. Everyone was ridiculously nice and welcoming. Although Bryan never held any roles for the chapter, he participated where possible. After graduating, Bryan spent the next 10 years working in marketing for a few companies in different industries. His experience always stayed the course, being creative. In 2009, after a second layoff, reality set in and Bryan was ready to become an entrepreneur, something he always dreamed of doing.

In 2010, Bryan co-founded with his college sweetheart Alamari Media LLC, a brand driven creative agency helping your brand be seen, heard & remembered. Since then he has built quite a resume of success: he was honored in 2012 by the Mayor of Phoenix as ‘Most Valuable Phoenician’ for heroic actions, has performed live on stage at Jesterz Improv and helped acquire a $500,000 research grant with his artistic representation of mitochondria, and he has three private label brands, one (Piggyback Rider) which went viral a few times, totaling over 101 million video views. Today, he is still married to his college sweetheart, has two amazing daughters and Scotty, a rescue dog.

Ryan Schneider '93

Head of Franchise Strategy and Studio Relations,
Insomniac Games

Ryan pledged Kappa Sigma as a second-semester freshman in spring 1993 while serving as a sports reporter for the Daily Wildcat. During his time at Gamma-Rho, Ryan served as Grand Scribe, Grand Procurator and the chapter's first dedicated communications officer. The latter culminated in helping choreograph Gamma-Rho's participation when 1996 US Presidential candidate Sen. and Brother Bob Dole visited our newly opened chapter house for a media event.

During his last 18 years at Insomniac Games, Ryan has helped lead the PlayStation Studios developer in multiple aspects of game franchise and studio brand development, community building, studio relations and studio cultural evolution.

David Shefter '83

Senior Staff Writer and Content Manager,
United States Golf Association

David pledged Kappa Sigma in 1983. During his time he served as the Intramural Chairman and one semester as the Grand Scribe. Outside of Kappa Sigma, David was a broadcast journalism major, and wrote for the Arizona Daily Wildcat. His first semester he wrote about intramurals and Olympic swimming, which evolved into covering the U of A baseball team full time and occasionally traveling with the team. In the Fall of ‘86, he became the Sports Editor and assumed the football beat which included road trips to Oregon, Wazzu, Colorado and UCLA. Academically, in his time at the U of A, David interned in Philadelphia working in the Newsfeed Network at KYW-TV and WPVI-TV where he learned the nuances of television.

Approaching graduation, he landed his first job at the Glendale (Calif.) News-Press, covering mainly high school and college sports in the community that included La Canada-Flintridge, Burbank, Eagle Rock and La Crescenta. After 18 months at the Glendale, David went to The Signal newspaper in Santa Clarita, CA where he spent 10 ½ years writing in a variety of roles, including a sports editor. Noticeably covering a couple of Olympians: Anthony Ervin and Crystal Bustos, as well as the No. 3 overall pick in the 1989 MLB Amateur Draft (Roger Salkeld), plus countless other athletes who went on to college/pro careers.

In May of ‘99, David got hired by the United States Golf Association in New Jersey which is where he currently resides. Starting as associate editor of Golf Journal magazine, a 9-times-a-year publication that was received by USGA Members. As a senior staff writer, he has covered over 150 national championships such as: U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Women’s Amateur, etc. and oversees the USGA website content along with the Golf Journal Magazine. David loves his dream job at USGA as it has given him the opportunity to not only do what he loves but play on 50/100 courses on the current Golf Digest Top 100 Courses in America List.
