Dave Stallings ’67

As a valuable member of Gamma-Rho as both an undergraduate and alumnus, Brother Stallings is not only the Man of the Year, but one of the most prominent Kappa Sigs in Tucson. His success in the business world, devotion to family, and willingness to stay active in Gamma-Rho as an
alumnus serves as an example to those both affiliated with the fraternity as well as those that have the pleasure of knowing him.

Brother Stallings was initiated into Kappa Sigma in 1967 and graduated from the UA with a degree in Business and Public Administration in 1968. Since then, he has become the Chief Financial Officer for Petty Windows and Cabinets in Tucson, one of the city’s prime providers of windows and
accessories.

In addition to his success as a businessman, he has been a vital member of Gamma-Rho’s Chapter. Serving as Treasurer for the Housing Corporation for too many years to name, Brother Stallings has had a hand in nearly all chapter events and decisions. Through his guidance, the undergraduate and
alumni chapter have seen tremendous success.

For Brother Stallings, Kappa Sigma has also become a family affair: he and his wife Diane are the proud parents of a daughter, Kimberly, who is married to Brother Marco Frederico ’86.

A roommate of Brother Stallings for more than a year, Brother Mike Logan ’67, said that Dave embodies the values taught in Gamma-Rho, and is truly worthy of the “Man of the Year” tag.

“He’s just an all-around great guy,” Brother Logan said. “I see him every year around (Homecoming), and we play golf. He hasn.t changed. He’s still a great, great guy. You couldn.t have made a better choice.”
